This is an experimental model that the rusty weathering is applied to.
The rusty effects you're seeing in the pictures are real rust! Metal
surfacer was applied and rusty solution was applied on top of the metal
surfacer. Both items can be purchased at Michael's craft store. The surface
is treated in the following way: primer -> lacquer paint (olive is mix of
yellow, black, blue, red) -> chrome parts with BMF -> washing / watering
with grey acrylic paint -> metallic surfacer -> rusty solution -> dullcote.
